Privacy Policy

1. What FormPilot does

FormPilot is a Chrome extension that lets you save a web form you fill often and fill it again later in one click or with a keyboard shortcut (Alt+Shift+F). You choose which fields are filled automatically and which are left for you to type each time.

2. Information FormPilot handles

When you click “Save this page's form”, FormPilot reads the visible form fields on that page and saves, for that form only:

• the website domain and, if you choose, a page pattern (for example /jobs/*/apply);
• each field's label, name and position on the page, so it can be found again;
• the values you chose to keep, which may include personal details you entered yourself, such as your name, email address, phone number or postal address;
• the name you give the saved form and when it was created, edited and last used.

FormPilot never saves password fields or file uploads, and it does not record your browsing history, keystrokes, clicks, location or any page you did not explicitly ask it to save or fill.

3. Where your information is stored

All saved forms are stored locally using Chrome's chrome.storage.local on the device where you use the extension. This data is not synced to your Google account and is not sent to any server, including ours. We do not operate any server for FormPilot and have no way to see your data.

4. When FormPilot accesses web pages

FormPilot only interacts with a page when you click its toolbar button or press its keyboard shortcut. It uses Chrome's activeTab and scripting permissions to read form fields (when saving) or fill them (when filling) in that one tab, at that moment. It requests no permission to access websites in the background.

5. Sharing and selling of data

We do not collect, sell, rent, share or transfer your data to anyone. FormPilot contains no analytics, advertising or third-party tracking code, and loads no code from outside the extension.

The use of information by FormPilot complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

6. Your control over your data

• View, edit or delete any saved form from the FormPilot Manage all forms page.
• Export your saved forms to a JSON file, or import them on another computer. Exported files are created only when you ask and are saved where you choose.
• Remove everything by uninstalling the extension, which deletes all data FormPilot stored in your browser.

7. Security

Because your data never leaves your device, its security depends on the security of your computer and browser profile. Anyone with access to your browser profile could see your saved forms, so we recommend not saving highly sensitive information, such as card numbers or government ID numbers, in FormPilot.

8. Children

FormPilot is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.

9. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. If a future version of FormPilot ever needs to handle data differently, this policy will be updated before that version is released.
